Mannmukta Foundation wasn’t born in a boardroom. It began with heartfelt conversations in the villages of Maharashtra, listening to the unspoken stories and unseen burdens carried by so many. We saw the immense strength in people, but also the quiet struggles that held them back—the fear of judgment, the lack of safe spaces, and the need for a community that truly understands.
Our name, and our motto—Vyakt Vha, Rikta Vha, Mukta Vha (Express, Unburden, Be Free)—is the answer to that need. It is our promise. We set out to build more than just an organization; we aimed to spark a movement of compassion, a community where vulnerability is celebrated as a strength and where every person has the tools to find their own emotional freedom.
This promise is rooted in a profound philosophy. We believe “Life is beautiful” is a culture, and we have created “The University of Self Expression” as a platform for all living things in the universe. Our purpose is for everyone to live a happy, successful life filled with peace of mind. We believe the path to this happiness is found within oneself, and our university provides the ideas that help people look inward to rebuild their lives.
It is a positive, creative, and humane way of looking from the self to relationships, from family to community, and from society to the world. Using timeless principles, we act with gratitude towards the five great elements (Panchmahabhuta) to achieve freedom, rejuvenation, and innocence. The “nectar” we have gained from this constant churning of ideas is what we want to share with others.
By always remembering the feeling that “As the vision, so the creation,” we express ourselves with the power of the mind, we unburden, and we become free. From this moment on, we embrace and dedicate this mission to the welfare of the entire universe.

True support begins with deep listening. Before any program takes shape, we sit with the community to understand their hopes, needs, and unique challenges. This ensures our work is a partnership, creating solutions designed with the people we serve, not simply for them.
Respect is woven into every detail of our work. It is seen in the warm welcome at our Maherwashin Mahotsav and felt in our confidential counseling sessions. Our commitment is to ensure every single person we meet feels seen, valued, and honored as an equal partner in our journey.
Lasting change cannot happen in isolation. Our model is built on powerful collaboration, joining forces with local Gram Panchayats, partner companies, and other community organizations. Together, we weave a resilient network of support able to uplift entire communities.
